Google Unveils AI Mode – Perplexity Killer?

Google has announced “AI Mode,” a new tab in search that will replace all Perplexity AI and ChatGPT Search.

The feature simultaneously launches multiple related searches across multiple sources, allows you to ask complex multi-constituent questions and continue the dialog with clarifying queries. It runs on a special version of Gemini 2.0.

According to Google statistics, users already ask queries twice as long as usual and in 25% of cases continue the dialog with additional questions
